Quick guide to using our customization workshop tool.
Workshop Tool Strategy
Select Element (Text or Art Clip) → Action (change text, color etc.) → Confirm
Using the Selection Tool
The select tool will only work if you are working inside the artwork area and only on the solid areas of the artwork.
- How to change/Add Text
Selected text you going to change. then selecting the text tool on the left side (symbol A). This brings up a text editing window where you can change the text as well as the font and the size.
- How to change the color
Make sure can see the border to indicate the element has been selected and then select the Color tool on the left. This brings up another window where you can either select a colour from the panels on the right, or select a color from the gradient on the left.
- Color Pick (Color Store/Color Bridge)
People often like having the text in their designs with all the same color (as well as adding new text that matches the pre made text/design). Select the element with the color you like and then click on Color Pick on top. The color will be saved on the color panels, so when you select the Color Tool, it will be the last colour on the bottom right.
Clicking on the background will bring up a range of backgrounds that you can use for your design. Please bear in mind that these designs do not have elements that you can change
- Ascending/Descending Layers
Every element (text, clipart, image, etc.) is on it’s own layer, and Ascend or Descend tools allows you to bring it in front or send it behind another element.
- Inserting Clip Art
Clicking on the Clipart tool will bring up a window where the cliparts are in various categories. Clicking on a clip art will insert it automatically to the canvas (clicking twice will add two, etc) which you can then enlarge/reduce or change its color if it was black. You can’t change the color of art that is already colored.
There is also a separate category (called Cutting Art Clip) for upcoming products. You can use these for normal print designs
- Inserting an Image
You can upload your own image by selecting the Image Tool. Please use images that are no larger than 2-3 Mb as this will most likely take too long to upload
After selecting an element, you can delete it by clicking on the Delete tool on top. You can also create a duplicate (and this is convenient if you want to make new text which has the same size/font/color etc) by selecting Duplicate. The duplicated element is created on top of the original, so you will need to move it for it to be more visible. A blue box will also appear to let you know that the element has been deleted/duplicated
Selecting Preview will bring up another window where you can see your design before you send it to cart/save. This is very important so you see what your final design will look like when it is printed. Remember to check everything is within the cutting line.
- Fit in Screen
If whilst you have worked you ended up off screen selecting this will bring the template back to the center.
- Saving and Adding to Cart (only works for after you have logged in with an account)
Selecting the Save tool will save your design and also let you make further changes without having to start again from scratch. If you are happy with your work you can then add it to cart where you can get your design printed and sent to you. When you click on your name on the top right of our website, your designs are saved in the My Designs folder on your account page.
- Safety Line
When you preview your design for our stickers, a red safety line is visible. Please keep your design within this line otherwise it will be lost.
Designing cut and engraved products
We are the first site to allow full customization of engraved and laser cut products. There are some guidelines that need to be followed.
- Very thin/fine designs ( smaller than 2cm ) cannot be cut from the machine
- You also need to ensure every your design is connected to the base (shown as a pink line).
- Loose elements will be charged as a separate design and projects have a limit of three separate elements.
